WEA LEADERSHIP HANDOVER CEREMONY

On October 29, the International Council announced the appointment of Bp Dr Thomas Schirrmacher as the next Secretary General / CEO, and on March 1, he will succeed Bp Efraim Tendero who has led the WEA since 2015. We want to come together to celebrate the many accomplishments over the last six years and induct the new Secretary General in an digital ceremony hosted in Bonn, Germany and streamed live online for anyone to join.

Official Invitation to WEA Leadership Handover Ceremony on February 27

We are pleased to extend this official invitation to you to attend the upcoming WEA Secretary General Leadership Handover Ceremony on Saturday, February 27 at 1pm Central European Time (find your time).

It is an opportunity for us to acknowledge Bishop Efraim Tendero’s contribution to the WEA and the many developments that have taken place over the past six years, and induct Bishop Dr Thomas Schirrmacher as the new Secretary General & CEO and bless him as he takes on this new role.

With contributions, greetings, prayers and blessings from every region of the world, the ceremony is going to be a memorable event. We would be delighted if you would honor this moment with your presence as well.

The ceremony will be hosted in a studio in Bonn, Germany but the majority of contributors are joining in online from around the globe. Because of the digital nature of the event, participation is open to everyone in our wider WEA family and beyond.
